I'm trying to find a solution to monitor the performance between ERP's and Legacy or tied in applications
September 6, 2007 - 11:21am — brhendI’ve experienced and have heard from colleagues how there is a shortage of a solutions for IT departments that monitors the performance between the ERP and legacy applications. Some solutions will keep tabs on the performance between the ERP and the end user, but nothing so far keeps an eye on the performance between the ERP systems and other interconnected applications (legacies).
This is important because it will help departments identify problems before a user notices. Moreover, it will prevent frequent scenarios where if a problem takes place between the ERP and Legacy apps, it would take many hours, even days or weeks, to resolve.
Is there a tool out there that would keep tabs on how things are running, tell me when something starts to go wrong, and help me drill down to the root cause fast?
How many have had this problem?
Thanks.

several
this isn't really an ECM question... but there are several "monitoring" solutions that you might want to look into. Some are hardware based, some are software based. At the very lest, check out Nagios.
Good luck!
