New Site: samplecode.oracle.com

For a long time, folks have been asking for a SourceForge-like site for Oracle consultants where they could share free code snippets. I've been trying to get one of these going for a while... but I knew it would be nothing without Oracle branding and an internal push. Well, Oracle recently announced this site:

You need to be either an Oracle employee, or an OTN member in order to use it. It's backed with Subversion (yay!), so you'll need hat to contribute. The number of projects is still fairly small at the moment... and it doesn't have a category for Oracle UCM yet. However, once it does, I'm sure we could get the number of projects there up to 20 or so ;-)

Nice

Very cool. Thanks for noting this.

I'll submit.

I'd like to tie this into the Yahoo group. Perhaps this will allow people to collaborate on repeated, general issues. I'll certainly submit some simple components to the group.

Woohoo..

At least this isn't another .Net site like enterprise.TV site.
But running on opensource collabnet.. woohoo, at least oracle are tech partners..

It would of been nice to of seen webcenter 11g used for this? :)

thats great...

I was hoping oracle do that since ages, to find a location to share and collaborate on UCM projects & find an official channel to add, share & rate custom components built by professionals and enthausiasts of the community..

waiting for the UCM category:)
